Named as one of the best races in the country by USA Today, the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K is expected to have more than 40,000 people turnout to participate in the event on March 31, 2012.

This is sure to be the most entertaining Saturday you’ll experience this spring with Spirit Groups, Party Stops, costumed runners, partying spectators, live music from 30 bands representing genres from Jazz to Indie/Alternative and an exciting post-race party. The Right Medicine for Richmond New Homes

Boone Homes has the right prescription for your Ricmond new homes.

As winter causes us to retreat inside our Richmond new homes, the chance of us getting sick increases exponentially. Colds, flu or even worse can cause days of discomfort at the very least. While you are bemoaning your discomfort and blaming the virus from an unknown individual who caused your misery, you may want to schedule a visit to the doctor for the right medicine. One quick visit to the doctor and prescription for the right medicine can send you back onto the path of recovery. Avoiding the doctor and using the wrong medicine can prolong your sickness.

Just as the right doctor prescribing the right medicine for your health is important, so is having the right new home builder construct your home with the right process. A builder with a proven process can build a custom home you will love. (more…)

For the Love of Maintenance Free Richmond New Homes

no maintenance homes

Snow shoveling included for no maintenance Richmond new homes.

For those living in Richmond new homes in Central Virginia, winter has been tremendous so far. Temperatures have hovered in the 50s and 60s most of the winter making Central Virginia seem more like a winter escape destination. In all this wonderful weather, it is necessary to point out there is always a chance for snow, like what happened just a few days ago. During this flurry of bad weather, the Richmond area enjoyed 4 to 6 inches of fresh and fluffy snow. The snow made every Boone Homes neighborhood appear as if each home had just been painted in a Thomas Kinkade city of lights. Though beautiful, snow still has a side effect.

Side Effect of Snow: Shoveling

This side effect can be strenuous on the back, unless you live in one of our no maintenance communities.  When you live in a Boone Homes’ no maintenance neighborhood, the shoveling is done for you saving you strain, heat wraps and pain killers. Avoiding this side effect of pain and strain is possible when you own a Boone Homes no maintenance home. All of our Richmond custom homes are built in a luxurious community and are designed to alleviate strain by doing all the exterior seasonal maintenance for you. Who wouldn’t love more time to experience life without the pain meds? You will love the new lifestyle as you will have more time to experience life.http://www.boonehomesblog.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gif (more…)

Richmond New Homes, A Valentine’s Day Gift to Remember

Give the Gift of a Boone Homes this Valentine's Day

Flowers make such a temporary gift. Even with the best “arrive alive” system, flowers only last a few days or at the longest a week. Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but diamonds certainly do not give a girl a place to create memories. Dinner makes for a great moment, though soon forgotten. The gift that keeps on giving is one of our new high-performance Richmond new homes.

What are the benefits of gifting a new Boone Home this Valentines? One reason is each space is planned to build memories. For example: your kids have plenty of space in the family room to play while the family’s head chef mixes a soufflé and enjoys a delicate chardonnay. After the little ones have been sent to bed, a romantic comedy can grace the screen while the cares of the day almost dance away with the flames of the fireplace. As evening turns into night you can retreat to the owner’s suite. Bubbles wash away any remaining stress in the soaking tub setting up the finale in the owner’s suite retreat with a snuggly blanket and a great read.http://www.boonehomesblog.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gif (more…)

Washington Insider Trading and Richmond New Homes

Richmond New Homes

There is a lot of talk in Washington these days about insider trading and the “ethical” dilemma of allowing congress to capitalize on information while the general public may not. While congress begins their debate we will share some Boone Homes insider information about our Richmond new homes that that is perfectly legal. This insider information is based on data of what has happened recently, forecasts for this year and years of experience in building new homes.

Insider information with real life data shows that in the last few weeks Boone Homes has sold nearly our entire new home inventory. This bit of information alone can seem like an irregularity in the market until you meld it with the forecast for this year from the National Association of Home Builders. The association asserts that there will be an increased demand for new homes creating a shortage by the 3rd quarter of 2012. In conversations with local real estate professionals on the beat, this information does not seem to be exclusive to home builders as they claim to have seen the best beginning to the spring housing market since before the “Great Recession.” (more…)

Adequately Venting Your Richmond New Homes

Eliminate Cooking Odors from your Richmond New Homes

Chefs great and small all have one thing in common: their cooking can sometimes create odors that don’t necessarily complement your Richmond new homes’ atmosphere. Who knew  that the smell of burnt cake, the odor left behind from fried fish or the garlic in last night’s pasta could entrench itself so deeply in your homes? The battle lines have been drawn. Odor can disperse throughout a home easily when cooking, unless you have a vented hood above your cooking space.

We believe in building every new home with a way to remove unnecessary kitchen odors before they permeate the home. The method of removing the air-bound odors is through a vented hood installed over the kitchen range.  The vented hood pulls the odors directly off the range top and promptly shows them the door.
