Celebrating at Lewis Ginter Botanical

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

The snow is gone and spring is in the air! We all silently bow our heads and thank our lucky stars that the snowy days of January and February are long gone. It is time to celebrate spring!

How best to celebrate spring than with a visit to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden during the Million Blooms celebration? Starting April 1st, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will be celebrating the fading of winter and resurgence of spring with a fantastic spread of blooming flowers. Tulips, irises, cherry blossoms, daffodils, roses, peonies and much more will canvas the walkways, floors and landscape with an idyllic canvas of color.

Hospitals and Home Buying

It might be sound surprising, but Johnston Willis Hospital (CJW) is one of my favorite places. In addition to being an amazing healing center in the Midlothian area, this hospital also has some of the most skilled and helpful doctors and nurses I have ever met.

I’ve visited the hospital on many occasions to visit family members or church members and each time I am greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Questions are always answered thoroughly and everyone on staff is kind and pleasant. CJW focuses on five major areas: general care, emergency care, Levinson Heart Hospital, Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital and the Neuroscience & Gamma Knife Center, so matter your need, CJW has the right medical team for you.

Boone Homes is similar in that respect. We have over 10 different new home communities throughout Richmond and Roanoke.  Three of our communities are located within miles of CJW: Tarrington on the James, Haywood Village and Westcott at Grey Oaks. Because each Boone Homes community offers a wide variety of floorplans and upgrade options, its easy for home buyers to find the perfect home for their family. (more…)

The community organizers for Charter Colony work hard to provide opportunities to connect with others in the neighborhood.

Community events like Super Bowl Party at the club house allow residents to come together and chat with friends while watching the big game on the big 58” screen with your friends and neighbors. Other events include a wonderful Lenten Lunch Series provided by the President of the Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond and a baby sitting course offered by the Red Cross to individuals 11-15 years of age.
