Home Builders Confident in Turnaround: Great Time to Purchase Richmond New Home

This month, the confidence level increased two points to 47 from November. That is the highest reading since just before the housing market plummeted in April 2006. While 47 still denotes some need for improvement, it is a far better than the 17 it was in October 2011. The heart of a no maintenance home in Richmond, Va. cannot be the foyer. No one wants to relax in the foyer with a cup of coffee, nor entertain the guests over quiet conversations.  Foyer eliminated. The heart of the home is not the garage. Whoever heard of crumpets and tea over the roar of an engine?  Garage eliminated.  Owner’s suite comes close, but is still not the heart of the home. Who would want to discuss politics with neighbors standing around the bed. There is no question in my mind that the heart of a no maintenance home is the kitchen. There is no better place to entertain the neighbors, holiday guests or family. Imagine the household chef whipping up a creation in any other room – simply ridiculous. (more…)

Sales of New Homes in Richmond, Va. are on the Rise

It’s no mystery that supply and demand determines whether a market is a seller’s market or a buyer’s market. Interestingly enough there are plenty of signs that the sale of new homes in Richmond, Va. are picking up and showing signs of improvement. One of the key signs of improvement is what style of homes are selling and when are they selling. For example: 612 Fairstead Road located in the Coach Homes of Kinloch was under construction as a finished showcase inventory home which was scheduled to be completed in early November of 2012. The no maintenance homesold shortly after the home was finished with framing, or 4 months before it was fully finished. This gave the purchaser the power to do two things. (more…)
